GSDF Organization
The GSDF is a component of the Georgia Department of Defense, operating under the authority of the Governor of Georgia as Commander in Chief. As Georgia’s official state defense force, the GSDF supports the Georgia National Guard and state authorities in missions that serve and protect communities across the state.
