Georgia Force Assistance Brigade North

GFAB North is the operational headquarters for north Georgia.

GFAB North supports various Georgia Army National Guard units. This includes GFAB North attachment to the Georgia Army National Guard, 121st Regiment, 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team amoungst others.

Company Description
Alpha Company Monthly drill locations vary with the planned training. Locations include, Dawson Forest (Atlanta Tract), Pine Valley Recreation Center (Dahlonega), Yonah Preserve (Cleveland) as well as more remote areas in the North Georgia Mountains. Able Company training consists of all the METL for the GSDF but has a focus on Wilderness Search and Rescue because of our proximity to the mountains, Appalachian Trail system and other hiking trails. Drills are normally the third full weekend of the month (Charlie weekend), physical by the nature of our training and usually include a bivouac between day one and two of training. If you are looking for a way to serve the citizens of Georgia that is both demanding and rewarding, Able Company might be the challenge you are looking for.
Bravo Company Baker (B) Company stands as a pillar of strength and service in our communities. From disaster relief and search & rescue to medical support and military operations, our volunteers are always mission-ready. Whether it's supporting the National Guard, aiding law enforcement, or stepping up in times of crisis, we are the boots on the ground when Georgia needs us most. Teams 1,2,3 drill in Rome, GA. Teams 4,5,6 drill in Winder, GA. Teams will occasionally drill in other locations based on training needs. Drills occur normally on the third full weekend of the month (Charlie weekend).
